Axel Hernandez

Axel graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2020 with a degree in Marketing and an emphasis in Management. He is a first-generation college student and is fluent in Spanish.

Axel started at Zurn Elkay Water Solutions as a Customer Care Coordinator in October 2020. He was promoted in December 2021 to Technical Consumer Coordinator. His primary responsibilities included approving/denying warranty claims and answering technical questions about sinks, faucets and accessories. Furthermore, Axel worked continuously with cross-functional teams, gathering information directly from the Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams, then presenting it to customers and the Care team.

In April 2023, Axel took on an opportunity to be a Marketing Assistant for the Fox Valley YMCA. His responsibilities include generating weekly social media content on Facebook and Instagram to increase brand awareness. In addition, Axel creates the social media content using Canva and schedules posts through the Meta Business Suite.

In February 2024, Axel joined Targa Resources as the NGL Coordinator for the Northeast region of the United States. In this role, Axel focuses on scheduling NGL truck liftings with customers to optimize refinery operations and maintain profit margins. Axel ensures timely deliveries by maintaining clear communication with NGL terminals, customers, and carriers, and he responds promptly to customer requests for product dispatch via truck and rail.
